Mannnnn! This is one of the best soul food in LA. Located across the street from Little Ethiopia. I’ve passed this place a thousand times and never noticed it was located here. Come to find out they have been skillfully cooking there for over 4 years, after speaking to the owner. Annie’s Soul Delicious doesn’t mislead in any kind of way. Food was made to perfection, for example take the crispy wings and catfish. First let me say, the wings was as advertised. Its batter was cooked to perfection, The natural juices was trapped inside the shell that surrounding the chicken. The catfish batter was this soft flakey special corn meal mix that tasted like my mother use to make back in the days! The lemonade is not to everyones liking unless you’re from some of our southern states, then perfect! For the none beef eaters Annie’s created a turkey loaf that is to die for.
Everything was hitting on all cylinders and can’t wait to try some other menu items.
